Visa Requirements  
 

The majority of passport holders are granted a 90-day stay upon entry to Hong Kong. For country-specific visa information, check out the latest from the Immigration Department.

Participants attending ITU TELECOM ASIA 2000 who are required an entry visa for Hong Kong, China, are advised to make the necessary arrangements well in advance of their departure. They should ensure that their visa is valid for a sufficient duration.

Should a visa be needed, a letter of invitation to attend ITU TELECOM ASIA 2002 may be requested in writing. For Chinese residents in Mainland China, a reference letter may be requested from the Hong Kong, China Secretariat to facilitate their application for entry into Hong Kong.

Airport Courtesy Channel  
  Courtesy Channels were arranged at the Immigration Counters and Customs Counters at the Hong Kong International Airport to facilitate immigration and customs clearance of guests of ITU TELECOM ASIA 2002. Locations of these counters are as follows -

Guests attending the event can make use of the Courtesy Channels for speedy immigration and customs clearance. Please click here for a map of the arrival hall showing the locations of the Courtesy Channels.

Participants of ITU TELECOM ASIA 2002 who have made prior hotel booking with the Official Travel Agency will be given a Lapel Sticker Label while Youth Fellows joining the Youth Forum will be given a Youth Forum Label. They can make use of these courtesy channels upon presentation of these labels.

Participants with the label could also purchase discounted airport transfers ticket to and from major hotels during the Event period.
