Organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and hosted by the Government of the People's Republic of China, 2,000 guests, including Ministers, Regulators, Consuls-General, Directors-General, Ambassadors and CEOs of exhibiting companies, will be invited to attend the Opening Ceremony and Reception to celebrate the kick-off of ITU TELECOM ASIA 2002.

By utilising dramatic theatrical props and symbolism, the performers will transform the stage set to tell a story which reflects the current business environment that has witnessed, and will continue to bear witness to Asia Leading Change - the theme of the evening !

The Opening Ceremony will be followed by the Opening Reception, a cocktail evening with a light Jazz performance from 18h30 in the Grand Foyer.
